Our Organization

The RACW is comprised of over 100 individuals whose passion for history outweighs all else. Due to their continued service in our ranks, we have been presenting history in Northern California for over 34 years.

We are comprised of the Confederate, Federal, and Civilian Brigades, and we are proud to have nine individuals from this greatly talented group of reenactors to volunteer their time on our Board of Directors.

We are proud that our brigades allow for artillery, infantry, and cavalry impressions.

Federal Brigade

The Federal Brigade is comprised of:

• US Brigade Staff
  
• 1st US Cavalry
• 1st US Sharpshooters (Also the 8th Alabama)
• 72nd New York Volunteer Infantry
• Federal Artillery

Confederate Brigade

The Confederate Brigade is comprised of:

• CS Brigade Staff
  
• 1st Texas Infantry (Falls under the 42nd Virginia)
• 3rd Arkansas (Falls under the 42nd Virginia)
  
• 8th Alabama Infantry
• 42nd Virginia Infantry
• Hurt's Battery
  

Civilian Brigade

The Civilian Brigade is comprised of:

• Southern Refugees
• US Christian Commission
• US Sanitary Commission
