Information for Visiting Reenactors

The Reenactors of the American Civil War extends you our most sincere greetings and cordial invitation to join us at our sponsored events. As our guests, we offer all reenactors that are members of bonafide civil war reenacting organizations with which we have reciprocal agreements the opportunity to attend our reenactments free of charge. This means that we do NOT charge you an admission fee, or participation fee as some organizations do. In some cases, there are special BBQs or evening meals that visiting reenactors are invited to join in at either NO COST or for a small fee. For more information on these types of special activities at events, please check out our Event Schedule for specific info on the event you plan to attend.

Though we offer this special invitation, we do ask you to comply with pre-event administrative requirements:

You must complete a General Release Waiver and Agreement Not to Sue Form (Adult Visitor and/or Minor Visitor) and mail to Brigade Commander no later than two weeks prior to the event. Artillery Units/participants must notify the Commander of Artillery 30 days before the event.
Read and completely familiarize yourself with our Safety Rules & Requirements for reenactors on the "battlefield".
If you plan to attend as a unit (Six or more members from your home organization), you must complete an Associate Members Registration Form
Notify the Brigade Commander that you have intentions of participating at one of our upcoming events as early as possible. Artillery units must notify the Artillery Commander 30 days before the event.

If your organization has never participated at one of our events, you will need to complete our Reenacting Club Recognition Application so that we will have your club's information on file and this step will not be necessary in the future.
